CLAY R. DORSEY

Principle In-Charge

Mr. Clay R. Dorsey is the founder and president of Dorsey Architects and Associates, Inc.

Mr. Clay R. Dorsey is the founder and president of Dorsey Architects and Associates, Inc. and serves as the principal in charge. He is a licensed architect in Alabama and 12 other states and brings over 26 years of project management experience across aviation, commercial, K-12 schools, and institutional projects.

Mr. Dorsey oversees program communications, information dissemination, and meeting organization, coordinating efforts between architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering teams to maintain proper quality control and cost estimating procedures. He has also served as owner’s representative for the City of Birmingham Mayor’s Office.

A dedicated professional, Mr. Dorsey is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA), and previously, the International Associate of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada.

He earned both a Bachelor and Master of Architecture from Tuskegee University’s School of Architecture and Engineering.

WESLEY HENRY

Project Manager

Mr. Wesley Henry brings 31 years of architectural design and project management experience.

Mr. Wesley Henry brings 31 years of architectural design and project management experience. He has been involved in all phases of projects, from initial design through close-out, across diverse sectors including aviation, commercial, K-12 schools, institutional, medical, and residential.

He is responsible for the overall design, coordination, and dissemination of architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings and specifications, ensuring projects result in aesthetically pleasing, high-quality outcomes that comply with building codes and meet the client’s objectives.

Mr. Henry holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Mississippi State University.

ALAN WISDOM

ARCHITECT, Project Manager

Mr. Wisdom has over 40 years experience in architecture, planning, and in the construction industry.

Alan Wisdom

Mr. Wisdom brings over 40 years of experience in architecture, planning, and construction, with extensive work in governmental projects at the federal, state, county, and municipal levels. He has served primarily as a project manager on a wide range of assignments, demonstrating expertise across diverse project types.

He is a licensed architect in Alabama (#2061), registered with the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (#24729), a Nationally Certified Planner (AICP #057238), and a licensed Alabama real estate broker (#042506). Mr. Wisdom is also a partner in real estate development, a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army Reserve, Corps of Engineers, and holds an Asbestos Management Planner Certificate.

In his role, Mr. Wisdom is responsible for document checking, code review, material selection, budget analysis, document production, and coordination of architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering drawings and specifications.

He holds a degree from Auburn University.

OLON DOTSON

Mr. Olon Dotson brings 28 years of architectural design and project management experience, with a lifelong passion for architecture and environmental design.

Mr. Olon Dotson brings 28 years of architectural design and project management experience, with a lifelong passion for architecture and environmental design. His work spans a wide range of projects, from housing to aviation, as well as commercial, K-12 schools, institutional, and residential sectors.

He holds a B.A. in Architectural Science from Tuskegee University, a Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design from Ball State University, and a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from Columbia University. Mr. Dotson has also earned a Ph.D. from Purdue University, demonstrating a strong commitment to advanced architectural and environmental expertise.

In his role, he specializes in specification writing and construction management, ensuring projects are executed efficiently while meeting the highest design, quality, and compliance standards.
