CLAY R. DORSEY
Principle In-Charge
Mr. Clay R. Dorsey, AIA, NCARB, is principal in-charge. Mr. Dorsey is the founder and president of Dorsey Architects and Associates, Inc., and is a licensed architect in the state of Alabama as well as 12 other states. He has over 26 years of project management experience. Project experience includes aviation projects, a wide range of commercial, K-12 schools and institutional work. He is responsible for program communications including dissemination of information and organization of meetings. Mr. Dorsey coordinates the efforts of architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering team members and ensure that proper quality control and cost estimating procedures are met. He has served as owner’s representative for the City of Birmingham Mayor’s office and is a member of several professional affiliations including American Institute of Architects, National Council of Architectural Registration Board, and National Organization of Minority Architects and also was a member of the International Associate of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada.
Mr. Dorsey is a graduate of Tuskegee University with a Bachelor and a Masters of Architecture from the School of Architecture and Engineering.
WESLEY HENRY
Project Manager
Mr. Wesley Henry is a project manager with 31 years of architectural design and project management experience. He has been involved in every aspect of various projects, from initial design to close-out. He has participated in and managed jobs in several arenas, including, aviation projects, commercial, K-12 schools, institutional, medical, and residential. Mr. Wesley is responsible for the overall design, dissemination of information, and coordination of architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering drawings and specifications to ensure an aesthetically pleasing quality product complies with the various building codes as well as meeting the needs of the client. He is a graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Architecture.
ALAN WISDOM, ARCHITECT
Project Manager
Mr. Wisdom has over 40 years experience in architecture, planning, and in the construction industry. He has worked in governmental service at every level the federal, state, county, and municipal, primarily as a project manager on a wide range of assignments/experience He is a licensed architect (Alabama # 2061); Registered with the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (certificate # 24729); Nationally Certified Planner (American Institute of Certified Planners ID number 057238); Alabama Real Estate Broker (license number 042506); Partner in real estate development; Retired Lieutenant Colonel, US Army Reserve, Corps of Engineers. For approximately 4 years he has held an Asbestos Management Planner Certificate.
Mr. Wisdom is responsible for document checking, code review, material selection, budget cost analysis, document production and coordination of architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering drawings and specifications.
He is a graduate of Auburn University.
OLON DOTSON
Specification Writer & Construction Manager
Mr. Olon Dotson is a specification writer and construction manager with 28 years of architectural design and project management experience he also has possessed a life-long interest in Architecture and Environmental Design. His experience has ranged from housing to aviation projects.
He is a graduate of Tuskegee Institute (University) in Alabama where he received a B.A. in Architectural and Science and Ball State University, where he acquired a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design. He also attended Columbia University in New York where he completed the Master of Science in the Real Estate Development Program. Additionally, he has also acquired his Ph.D. from Purdue University. He has participated in and managed jobs in several arenas, including commercial, K-12 schools, institutional, and residential.
