Clay R. Dorsey, AIA NCARB

Owner, Principal in Charge

Clay Dorsey is the founder and president of Dorsey Architects and Associates, Inc., and is a licensed architect in the state of Alabama, Ohio, Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi Kentucky, Indiana, District of Columbia, Maryland, New York, North Carolina, Tennessee and Delaware.  He is a graduate of Tuskegee University, and has over 23 years of project management experience on a wide range of commercial and institutional work.  He is responsible for program communications including dissemination of information and organization of meetings. Mr. Dorsey coordinates the efforts of architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering team members and ensure that proper quality control and cost estimating procedures are met.

He has served as owner’s representative for the City of Birmingham Mayor’s office and is a member of several professional affiliations including American Institute of Architects, National Council of Architectural Registration Board and the National Organization of Minority Architects.

Alan Wisdom, architect

Project Manager

Mr. Wisdom has over 30 years experience in architecture, planning, and in the construction industry.  He has worked in government service at every level – federal, state, county, and municipal, primarily as a project manager on a wide range of assignments/experience He is a licensed architect (Alabama # 2061); Registered with the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (certificate # 24729); Nationally Certified Planner  (American Institute of Certified Planners ID number 057238); Alabama Real Estate Broker (license number 042506); Partner in real estate development; Retired Lieutenant Colonel, US Army Reserve, Corps of Engineers. Held a residential contractor’s license (Montgomery Alabama 1980), and for approximately 4 years held an Asbestos Management Planner Certificate.

 Mr. Wisdom is responsible for document checking, code review, material selection, and budget cost analysis, document production and coordination of architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering drawings and specifications.

 He is a graduate of Auburn University

Wesley Henry, Assoc. AIA

Project Manager

Wesley Henry is a project manager with 31 years of architectural design and project management experience. He has been involved in every aspect of various projects, from initial design to close-out. He has participated in and managed jobs in several arenas, including commercial, institutional, medical, and residential. Mr. Wesley is responsible for the overall design, dissemination of information, and coordination of architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering drawings and specifications to ensure an aesthetically pleasing quality product complying with the various building codes as well as meeting the needs of the client. He is a graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Architecture.

Willie C. Oliver, architect, AIA NCARB

Construction Manager, Quality Control

Oliver has nearly 30 years of experience in architecture and design, and has designed projects for the commercial, healthcare, academic and public institutional sectors throughout the southeastern United States. He is a graduate of Tuskegee University and is a registered architect in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Kentucky and North Carolina. He has been responsible for the implementation of major educational, governmental and aviation projects. He has designed, coordinated and delivered several large projects for the municipalities of Birmingham, Orlando and Atlanta respectively. Mr. Oliver is well versed in coordinating the production of construction documents with engineering consultants, vendors, suppliers and regulatory compliance with the State of Alabama Building Commission and other governing agencies. He has served as owner’s representative in the City of Birmingham Architect’s office, and is a member of several professional affiliations including American Institute of Architects, National Council of Architectural Registration Board,

National Organization of Minority Architects, Tuskegee Architectural and     Construction Alumni Association Alabama Architectural Board, Legislative Task Force Committee, and the Alabama Architectural Foundation Board.

Olon Dotson, Project Manager

Mr. Dotson is a specification writer and construction manager with 28 years of architectural design and project management experience he also has possessed a life-long interest in Architecture and Environmental Design.

He is a graduate of Tuskegee Institute (University) in Alabama where he received a B.A. in Architectural and Science and Ball State University, where he acquired a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design.  He also attended Columbia University in New York where he completed the Master of Science in the Real Estate Development Program.

He has participated in and managed jobs in several arenas, including commercial, institutional, and residential.
